Because the social costs would be prohibitive, not to mention that most Mexicans wouldn't go for it.

The country isn't full of dirty, sombrero wearing street thugs. It's mostly hard working Catholics, much like Ireland was prior to the Industrial Age.

There is a great opportunity for America to take advantage of a huge, hard working, cheap labor pool there. Remember Economics 101, comparative advantage. Union labor in the US costs over $25 an hour, we can get the same worker in Mexico for under $10 an hour.

That $15 an hour goes to Americans. We own the companies that build the factories there.

I don't see a problem.
