It is going to be BOTH big and obvious - not big and inconspicuous or small and blatant. Hmmmm..... time to back up the truck.

Not to be Doubting, Thomas, but that was posted by Faith underscore Hope. Two godesses notorious for their ability to deceive.

I called Karen at Investor Relations about ten days ago to specifically to ask her if AMPEX had a NEW technology.
She said, "NO, Don't believe
anything you read on the chat boards". She said that AMPEX engineers were working on something, and
investigating their old compression patents to see if there is "something" that could be used.
Of course, Karen talks like a well written contract. "NEW", no. But I didn't ask her about "enhanced" or
improved. But, my personal impression was that their R&D engineers are tossing things at the wall,
just to see if any of their multitude of old TV compression patents stick to the new internet play.
I assumed that, just like my investing technique, this approach is strictly a crap shoot. Hal pointed out to me
that AMPEX did say something pretty strong about a "new" or "enhanced" technology, which is what was posted
here and repeated just a few posts back, but they have been back peddling
from that statement ever since they first suggested it. My impression is that they "want" to
improve the speed of things, but haven't really discovered how to do it yet. They just assume
that they might be able to do it, since they have all these old patents laying around. That isn't
'at all convincing to me that they actually will....... al
