I do not think that U.S. has cancelled it's strong dollar policy yet, although Yen hit 40 month hi. Tresury secetary Summers who just replaced Rubin has adopted same strong U.S. Dollar policy, look at US dollar index it still hanged above 100 to say the least, If that index treaded below that 98 level, then I will start to warn that policy has been weaken, so far it is too early to say yet. Also, long term T-bond still hanged tough above that 113, it is no sweat at all. I am also a future trader, very short term type sometimes daytrader on future. As a matter of fact, I watch future more than stocks, as I am a macroeconomic man, nothing else. My training is macroeconomy, so is George Solos who graduated School of Economy I bet In LOndon or Cambrige etc. Future and interest rate realated is my speciality, so is inflation matter. So I watch commodity like t-Bond, T-bill, US dollar index, Yen D-mark, and beautiful Swiss French, sometime Canadian Doallar,too. Oil, Crb index, gold silver, copper, etc..... OPec meeting so is Centrr baners in swiss are key events to watch for, also US election, etc... are global market disturbance factors. If we could get it all figured it out, we are sure what that martket will turn. So watch these events closely. Then apply trading strategy and make some money out of it no matter ti is US dollar or Canadia dollar. Making money from the market is my full time job. And I enjoy every minutes of it.
