as an Austrian, i fully support the Austrian perspective...Vienna is full of notorious, morbid pessimists. there is a great fascination with death and alcohol in this country, Viennese folk songs are centered on these topics. no wonder our economists had such nice things to say...ggg

(.... I've read all of these in full except Human Action. H.A. has a lot of stuff in it that is not really relevant to investors...)

The political and social environment _can_ be crucial to investors, especially in a global economy.

Even in the U.S., much of the inevitable, and often hidden risk that comes with any investment is political risk.

Also, the more microeconomic basics such as Subjective Theory of Value, Price Theory and Marginal Utility are important.
