RAVISENT Pairs With Vestel Group - 9/14/99

RAVISENT Technologies has formed an agreement with Vestel Group. The two companies have joined forces to offer a high-end, low cost DVD player, equipped with superior digital video playback quality on a television set. Under the agreement, RAVISENT is licensing its CineMaster DVD decoder to Vestel for use in a high-end DVD Player, enabling digital playback of sound and video, creating the effect of a cinema-like experience for home users. The product will initially be available in Europe at the end of this year, Q4 1999.

"This is RAVISENT's first major step into the consumer electronics market. Our alliance with Vestel means that we are offering next-generation technology to our OEMs and ultimately to their customers," said Ed Piehl, director of marketing, RAVISENT. "RAVISENT's CineMaster has already been established as the leading software solution for the PC. Now we can offer enhanced playback performance for users who want the best viewing quality on their home entertainment systems."
