Divicom's Bandwidth.................... ibc-daily.co.uk Tuesday September 14, 1999 DiviCom's bandwidth DiviCom has unveiled the latest addition to its encoder product line, the MediaView MV45, which offers broadcasters advanced compression technology, greater processing power and superior noise management. The MV45 improves bandwidth efficiency by harnessing the horsepower of three DVxpert encoding engines from DiviCom's parent company C-Cube Microsystems. It also marks the first deployment of what DiviCom refers to as the "revolutionary" technology of its ClearMotion integrated noise reduction system. Another important feature, claims the company, is that the MV45 helps to prevent blurring effects caused by fast movement in video pictures. In combination with its DiviTrack statmux, it proactively applies the most accurate and efficient encoding strategy to any type of scene or special effect. This allows picture quality to be maintained at low bit rates, and should allow broadcasters more flexibility in bandwidth.
