Exacctnt: ORCL took great pains to say that Y2K had never been an issue with them and that it had not been a factor in their sales efforts. They were saying that there customers are huge network/main frame elephants that were harder to capture qrtr. to qrtr. than the enterprise customer but that they expected great things from these giant prospects. In short it appears that MSFT is making inroads (as would be expected) at the mid size enterprise level. They said they were going to back off the consulting initiative in order to get more support from other consultants i.e. the big five. Other than that the cc was a big game of cat and mouse with the analysts. Conspicuous by its absence was the salutation "Great qrtr." as each analyst opened up with his or her questions. JFD
