Maybe the same buyer will pick up the Q's handsets and the 20% of Palm COMS' is going to sell?

Jack: Thanks for the distinction between QCP in the US and QCOM's investments in other handset opportunities with Qualcomm do Brasil. What will happen with QCOM's intention to open a handset factory in Mexico, too?

It will be interesting, especially since QCOM is guaranteed 50% of the CDMA phone market in Mexico where Pegaso is involved. I would imagine the same is true with the Brazilian group Canabra too. I would think that Canabra is required to buy at least 50% of their handsets from QCOM.

Since ERICY is building out the infrastructure in Brazil, I would expect to see QCOM and ERICY become much closer than any one of us could have ever imagined. ERICY retained a number of small infrastructure contracts that QCOM bid on last year like the one for Canabra. The are all listed on the CDG home page.

QCOM is going to guarantee the contract winner a lot of business in North and South America. The momentum for CDMA in South America is getting huge. It will be much more important in the near term than China.

Good luck!!
