More News: PowerPrint(R) solution expands printing possibilities of innovative
iMac(R) accessory

BURNABY, BC, Sept. 16 /CNW/ - Infowave Software Inc. (VSE:IWM) today
announced it has signed a development agreement with New Motion International
Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of Apple(R) Macintosh(R) and PC computer
peripherals. New Motion, established in 1982, has distribution networks across
the U.S., Germany, Japan, Australia and China. Under the terms of the
agreement, New Motion agreed to package Infowave's award-winning PowerPrint
software in-box with New Motion's iDock(TM).

The iDock is a six port hub that increases the peripheral compatibility
of an iMac. It enables iMac users to connect to a wide variety of peripherals
such as printers, scanners and modems with serial and parallel ports that
would otherwise be incompatible with the iMac.

The inclusion of the award-winning PowerPrint software significantly
enhances the capability of the iDock by adding new PC printer driver support.
This makes it possible for users to print to over 1,600 PC-compatible laser
printers, inkjet printers and specialty printers.

``Our agreement with Infowave enables us to leverage the excellent
reputation PowerPrint has within the Macintosh community,' said William L.T.
Lu, vice president, sales of New Motion. ``As well as improving the core
compatibility of the iDock, we have also gained a powerful new marketing edge
with which to promote the device.'

The iDock will be marketed and distributed in the U.S. exclusively by
CompuCable Corporation through its network of resellers, distributors and
superstores and via its website. CompuCable will position the iDock as the
flagship of its iPeripheral line of iMac accessories.

According to PC Data, approximately 2 million iMacs have been sold since
its launch on August 15, 1998, making it the top selling desktop computer in
the retail market.

``The rapid growth of the iMac has created a huge demand for innovative
Mac products,' said Kevin Jampole, vice president, sales and marketing of
Infowave. ``This agreement with New Motion is the latest example of how
Infowave is taking advantage of the increasing opportunities in the Macintosh
marketplace.'
