The way I see it, Maney, is I came on the thread, looked around, stirred up some discussion with the hypocrites, they started with the insults, the reasonable people (most of 'em) abandoned ship, I swapped smartass remarks with the sanctimonious holy rollers until I got tired of it, and I left.

It matters little who thinks who initiated the insults. I'm a long way from petulant. I just want something new to stimulate my mental process. If it doesn't show up after a few posts from the adversaries, I conclude that, without my stimulating them, they ain't capable, and I relegate them to the trash bin.

I can trade insults with anyone. Curses with most, and compliments with a few.

Try this one: "May the dung of a thousand camels fall upon your miserable skull"

or maybe this one: Yer lyin' and yer feet stink, ya don't luv Jesus, you run rabbits, eat $hit and howl at the moon"

or could it be: " If dumbass was cancer, He'd be in ICU".

I don't think I started the insults with truedog, or with Colleen. I may have said somewhat that was misinterpreted.
After reading their stuff for a couple of days, I don't think either would know Jesus if he walked up and kissed 'em on the cheek. But I could be wrong.

I was taught Christianity by three different folks;
(1) A Holy Rollin', Bible Pounding, Evangelizing, street corner preaching, child abusing hypocrite,

(2)a college educated, scripture quoting minister of what was then the largest non-denominational church in Houston (he wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on the leg but he was certainly familiar with most of the teen-age female anatomy in the congregation, and

(3) a sweet little old lady who almost convinced me that she was right (she certainly was sincere) and I hope for her sake she was right (even tho' it could condemn me to Hell where I surely belong if she was).

I could go on, but that's enough for now.

The sanity thread and the Bush thread and a few others are better for the conservatives, and frankly, I wish you all would go back there. There are some conservatives that can and do bring up some salient points, yourself being one of those, but once one comes over, you get the whole lot, and we can all see what ensues.... jmo.

Chuck,it's not only the insults but the arrogant,snobbish,demeaning way in which they were delivered. I have looked the other way at times,when insults,innuendos,etc. have been tossed my way and consider them part of the game sometimes. But to attempt to denigrate another persons intelligence is crossing over the line.I can understand why you were mildly alarmed when someone of this ilk came on with a handle so close to yours...TD
