Re: Good news for Rambus longs...

Certainly not bad news, but it's interesting that they feature the following:
===================================
To use PC100 SDRAMs on RIMM socket, Asus provides a DIMM riser, which helps you smoothly migrate from SDRAM to RDRAM while keeping both performance and upgradeability in mind.
===================================
Does this just use the MTH? Or have they figured out how to get native SDRAM support out of the 820?

Dan

kash,

Cool! It mentions that you can use the DIMM riser in RIMM slots if you want, though. Didn't Intel abandon that idea, and just go with MTH to DIMM sockets?
