RENO APPOINTS SPECIAL PROSECUTOR TO FIND OUT IF THE GOVERNMENT KILLED PEOPLE DELIBERATELY IN WACO AND COVERED IT UP AFTER EVIDENCE WAS DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS PROBABLY THE CASE WASHINGTON: In response to the revelation that incendiary devices were used against the Branch Davidians in Waco, notwithstanding previous denials from the FBI, Attorney General Janet Reno appointed former US Senator John Danforth as Special Prosecutor to investigate the mess. Danforth promptly announced he would look at two things--was there a cover up and did the government deliberately kill people. Danforth, however, cautioned that it would not be his job to question the judgment associated with surrounding the religious cult with an army and then attacking them. "It would be a problem, though, if members of the armed forces were actually involved in the attack on the Davidians," said a spokesman for Danforth. Apparently there is a distinction to be made of the legality of the use of lethal force by people who look like an army, versus the official army. How the many children who died at Waco would've known the difference is unknown. bandersnatch.com
