Resident Golden Ager, LOL. I like it. (I think) There have been a few periods, particular to place, that would qualify. But to pick one I would say the High Middle Ages. There have been a few improvements, like in dentistry for example. But that period gave rise to the refinement and delicacy of sentiment which belonged to chivalry. We began a slow descent into animal meanness with the waning of that age. That is my first choice. My second choice would be 1950s America.
