Show me one analyst that is not impartial to his own holdings. If an analyst owns Cisco in his portfolio do you expect him to rant and rave about 3Com? How can anyone in the right mind recommend Cisco at these current prices. It is trading at 25 times the market cap of 3Com with only twice its revenue. Does everyone think that Cisco will have no competition or for that matter they will grow at 55% indefinitely? At this rate of growth revenues will have to hit $50 Billion within 3 years. Now I find that to be impressive if it is consummated. The global market will be a tough shell to monopolize and that is what Cisco is going to have to do if it intends to maintain such a lofty market capitalization.

When most portfolios have a substantial position in Cisco, it behooves their managers to destroy 3Com image where possible. This is the feedback that I get from the investment community, for this reason I do not heed to their opinions.
