The need to believe in God, in any form, is also an instinctive trait
I think it is a human instinct to be inquisitive. That is built into the common genes. It's a matter of how much information you have available as to what is done with this inate ability.

Sometimes I daydream about flying, Sometimes about alien worlds. Sure everyone wants to reach out beyond this world. You have to recognize where fantisy ends.

A religion? I do believe in a higher power. The collective minds of many is greater than the individual. Just as a species contains more genes than an individual member I rely greatly on conclusions supported by facts too numerous for me to learn. As I age I also find I am less eager to jump on new proposals, but I'm not over the hill yet!
