Everything I'm hearing indicates that Japan and Asia over is far behind the US, Australia, Canada, and Britain. (it this an Anglo-Saxon bias or something??).

After all, I posed my question about Asia last night to the #2 expert on Y2K in the US, Janet Abrams and she couldn't answer it.

It's not that I wish any nation ill, but I don't believe Western money will stay invested in Asia through the latter portion of the year. So when we start pulling out capital back to the US, I'm sure we'll see some Japanese move their money back over here.

That is, unless their banks are in such a state of financial disrepair that they must sell off more of their US assets at fire sale rates in order liquify their banks, and buy all of that Japanese debt their govt is issuing, with more to come.

Good to see you over here on the Nikkei thread... Gold bugs gettin' ya down??
