I almost got the impression last Q when ORCL beat the number by so much that Ellison was thumbing his nose at the street and the shorts, those who had the nerve to underestimate ORCL....It's like he is continually trying to show the Street a lesson of some kind.

It's like Ellison is a performance artist and the message of his performance is that investors should not blindly follow each other and the street in such a herd-like manner.

But it's a really poor way to try to demonstrate that you run a responsible, even-keeled company.

Michelle: I learned to keep away from Oracle the hard way. I owned it going into an earnings report that disappointed the Street about a year or so ago. Burn me once.......
