James, On the Day of Pentecost were the 3000 Jews or Gentiles? Why does your study focus on destruction? I can study the persecution of Christians as their fall from God but that would be crazy as is a study about 70AD. There is no question that the Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah was inacted on Calvary but the Glorious reign of the King of the Jews only began as a light to the Nations and the final restoration of Israel still to come because of who He is. <<As I believe I mentioned, my direction is in the study of the New Testament Christians and the close of the Jewish dispensation. >> Are you back to dispensations? Preterist is a new term for Amellinialist and that as you have said in the past is a very weak doctrine. <<The Christian remnant were gathered into the Kingdom, or the New Jerusalem, and Judiasm was destroyed forever. Jesus mission as Messiah has been accomplished. He is no longer a minister of the "circumcision" that "God may be all in all." The relation between God and humanity has not ceased buy now his mission as King of Israel is fulfilled. The Israel of God is now wider and greater than Israel after the flesh. The New Jerusalem is now not just the Kingdom of the Jews but the mother of us all. >> Someone should have told Paul about Judaism. Acts 21:18-22 18 And the day following Paul went in with us unto James, and all the Elders were present. 19 And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among Gentiles by is ministry. 20 ANd when they heard it they glorified the Lord, and said unto him. Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law. 21 And they informed of thee that thou teachest all the Jews which are amoung the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying they ought not to circumcise their children, neither walk after the customs. 22 What is therefore? the multitude must needs come together; for they will hear that thou art come. 23 Do therefore this then that we say to thee; We have four men that have a vow on them 24 Them take and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, ARE NOTHING; bu that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and KEEPEST THE LAW. 25 As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangeled, and from fornication. 26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them he entered into the temple. to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that and offering should be offered for every one of them. According to these verses and the Galatians verses there is a difference to Paul between the Jew and Gentile in order of worship. Why did he have Timothy cicumcised and argue strongly that the Gentiles did not have to be circumcised? As shocking as it may be the Jewish believers did not stop attending synagogue after 70AD. I have many books on Rabbis through the ages that were believers and there is alot of misunderstanding about their history. If you read more of the OT that God gave maybe you would understand the New better, Nancy
