To be a liberal you have to believe that...

Religion is faith, but atheism is scientific fact and anyone who disagrees is not a free thinker.

There actually has been evidence of the ark found. And the tomb, for that matter.

I believe the debate is not whether there was an ark, or if Jesus existed etc. It has to do with whether any of this was divine vs. just a series of sequences documented in a book by a few learned people.

Since you like films there was this 70s science fiction picture starring Sean Connery called Zardoz... ever see that? Awful movie, btw I am not recommending it, but the premise was that this future civilation had latched onto this book and started worshiping it, the book was the Wizard of Oz... it was a sort of commentary on the Bible I guess (can't remember much about it now though)

I have been to Israel and have seen "the Tomb". However the Iraeli guide explained there is no evidence that Jesus was ever in the tomb that is claimed to be "the tomb". He also explained that it really does not matter since it is more important what happened rather than where exactly it happened.

I have also heard that the ark was found but as far as I know no one has ever gone and explored the alleged site. As far as I know the ark story is a myth.

Well, what are they waiting for? I'm sure that Noah's Ark would make a great attraction and shut us Atheists up for a long time. Let's get it out. I'll go on record here as being willing to donate $1,000 to help get it out. All that I would require is that a non-crackpot, non-fundamentalist reasonably objective team of experts would say that there is a high degree of probability that it is the Ark mentioned in the Bible. I think that my money is safe.

Do you really belive that every animal on Earth was on that ark in pairs? Kangaroos, koala bears, panda bears, polar bears, llamas, alligators, etc. If so, you probably believe in Santa Claus too.
