Perhaps I should have elaborated in my comment. It's not that none of us wouldn't want the money those guys are worth. It's just that few are inclined to go through what it takes for most of them to be there. If I had Bill's money, I wouldn't mind managing and using it, but there is no way I would want to be Bill. I have no compelling desire to be the kingpin of a multi-billion dollar enterprise. And I rather doubt Bill would be content to be an obscure trader, even if very successful at it.

Your observation about scalability is right on. If we ever get good at this trading thing, being small is supposed to give us the advantage that comes from rapid turnover of our positions. If I ever get to the point where I have so much wealth it becomes too difficult to move my holdings, I'll have more than I need and will play another type of game.
