Unfortunately, they weren't using the homemade bungee cords that USA nutcase made out of recycled materials. Mr. NutCase also made the line the same length as the bridge drop. Raising the question of who was dumber, some bureaucrat wanted to levy a fine on the deceased for the mess left on the rocks. -g-

Interesting info in that article about peer pressure:

"The fear of looking wimpish overcomes the fear of leaping (off of a bridge)."

A question posed to kindergarden students: Would you rather be humiliated for a brief time in front of your fellow students or would you chose a painful surgery instead?

The overwhelming response was for these young children to chose painful surgery. The lesson: the human ego is a powerful protection mechanism and it will drive people to accept physical pain over mental anquish.
