You are quite mistaken if you think that "thinking" and religion do not mix. It is difficult to think seriously about any proposition presented as revealed truth without developing doubt. Doubt does not go well with faith. Remember all the rants despising "cafeteria Catholics", the ones who have the temerity to think they can pick and choose from the dogma according to conscience? This is unacceptable, as it would be to any religion. Either you you accept the whole package or you are on your own. I much prefer to be on my own. The sight of healthy people walking with crutches always confuses me a bit, another good reason to avoid churches.
