Hold your horses, bubba. The combined market cap of Helsinki Stock Index companies is around 200 billion dollars. I know it's chickenfeed, but does Austin really beat that? If it does, it probably won't in a half a decade - HEX has been outperforming NASDAQ by a large margin.

In any case, international roaming doesn't have to appeal to Southern states to become important - I would think that the major cities on East and West Coast can provide a good customer base. It's not all about whether US consumers care about roaming... it's also about how European business and leisure travelers react. The USA-Europe axle is the most important international air travel route. You only need to convince the Europeans to switch into GSM-900/1900 and you reach multi-million volume worldphone sales. And a bonanza for VSTR, who gets the roaming income. I doubt Korean visitors to USA can match that... and the Japanese are hooked on PDC and PHS.
