Eric, I definitely think that with the way the bonds are getting hammered in the US alongside the crumbling dollar, we are definitely seeing the effects of carry-trade liquidation. That won't strike equities until the whole house of cards goes at once. Equities have put such a brave face on things that investors in Asia are HOPING to salvage something from their long-US positions. When those hopes are finally crushed, you'll see another big move - in Yen and the US indices.

Today it seems that none of the indexes could be supported, although the Dow's being treated much better than the Nasdaq. Beginning to look like a key reversal day in all markets. Quite bearish by the looks of it. I can imagine a big overnight gap down that leaves a lot of people wishing they had sold today.
