News! There is a link below for a new CMGI purchase. On the surface it looks like a step in the right direction with the inklings of a master plan starting to appear to me. BWDIK!

Zen and all: Analysts' numbers...

Am I way off in assuming that these analysts' are not quite as stupid as we make them out to be, but that their earnings estimates, by definition and or company policy, just refuse to take into account "one time liquidity events"? I wonder what the actual numbers would be without these "events", though if you are going to figure out what actually happened in a quarter, I can't see why you wouldn't use actual circumstances. Obviously an accounting thing, and I have no talents in that respect. My only guess is that they try to track success of the business model by excluding things which are only "blips" along the way. Of course this is one monstrous blip in this case! ;-) Comments?

Thanks,

Todd (Sentinel on RB)
