I agree with you. That "would" say something.

I've just become so cynical over the last 2 or 3 years that I can't even take myself. (g)

It just seems to me that every time the market is in trouble we get some great statistic from the government (of course using some new fangled measurement methodology), a large futures buy program appears from nowhere, central banks intervene in a surprising way (options week rate cuts) etc...

It appears that everyone is geared towards short term bubble support and illusion and not the long term financial well being of the country. So nothing surprises me anymore.
