I completely disagree, and not just because it's Francoise and he's always wrong.
There was a section in Forbes a few months speculating about how cheap PC's could get. In it they told how much money the box makers could make through bundling and it was a pretty decent amount. Boxmakers pay nothing, the people that want their software in the boxes have to pay, whether it's some 3rd rate company like SFLK, or an tier one ISP like AOL or ELNK etc. The boxmakers kinda treat the hard drive like an advertising billboard. If you want your stuff there you have to pay, they will do nothing for free. As anyone that has bought a PC recently knows, most of the software that comes with it is worthless, or it's a crippled versions of a decent program, and the full fledged version has to be paid for. Maybe SFLK thinks they can attract enough paying customers for some other version or service, by giving this one away.(only again, they likely have to pay to give it away.)
