I second DAK. Thanks for the thoughtful contribution. An example of how many disciplines are necessary for a good look at modern biotech.

I just got an email from a farmer in the UK. He is not convinced that he could make contributions to a discussion of biotech. A farmer in the U.K. with a long-standing interest in biotech!

The guy could hire me to work for his consulting practice.

I think you've hit it pretty much on the head. The database here is probably a very valuable element. If this drifts much lower, I'd be happy to buy some based on just this value alone.
