The three paragraphs appear in consecutive order in the original text. I tried to type it verbatim, but there's been a small typo. The second sentence should read, "We believe that it is only a matter of time before RMBS becomes the mainstream standard adopted by the industry".

To me, there seems to be no contradictions.

The author's conclusion is not binary (ie. RMBS will / will not succeed). If you read the analysis again, he is simply trying to qualify his opinions by straddling a little on both sides (common practice, I think). Though his primary opinion is that Rambus WILL become the mainstream standard, he thinks that there will be numerous obstacles during the transition.
