evolution or adaptation???
They are really the same thing. Adaptation is a vague word because it kind of sounds like the creatures are adjusting themselves somehow to be more comfortable. What is happening is that these thorobreds are just beging their own horsy self, eating, running when they make them, and having sex when the opportunity arises. The horse breeder is controlling when the opportunity for sex happens. In natural selection the opportunity for sex is controlled by bigger horses that may chase away rivals or by other animals which eat some of the horses before they have an opportunity. The only other real difference is the time scale.
