<<They do raise a point though, Dennis. I recall seeing a gay pride march in Washington being televised, and many of the marchers were engaging in lewd activities and behaving very improperly. This does not add any credibility to their movement, IMO. What is your take on this?>>

I do not condone the lewd behavior and I think it does hurt when trying to convince people that gays should be treated equally.

<<What is the movements' take on this?>>

I don't know what you mean by the movement but I believe that most gay organizations agree with my view. If you watch the participants of the parade I would say at least 95% do not participate in lewd behavior.

I think I would compare the way gay people act while watching the parade akin to Mardi Gras in that it is a carnival atmosphere. And yes at Mardi Gras many straights are baring their breasts, being fondled and even going nude in the streets. Never been to Mardi Gras but I know people that have and this is what they tell me. Sorry I didn't think of this when I responded to Bill Vaughn.

I was neutral on the Gay issue ...

Until I saw a Gay 'Pride' parade on TV. A sign reading "Kiss my Queer Ass" solidified my opinion.

Cheers, PW.
