I also made an entry into CHK this morning, but the debt load concerns me. Also not thrilled that they only received $1.88 for their 27 BCF production last quarter. If production is off by very much this quarter I'm bailing. If not, then their numbers are going to look much better than analysts estimate.

The 1.1 mil oil production looks pretty good too. Should boost the bottom line by at least 4 mil this quarter from the $16.01 they received last quarter.

Anyone know if the Yahoo claim of 8.42 mil shares short/ 70.9 mil share float is accurate?

concern about the osx pull back is warranted. and while the bullish fervor evinced here has given me some reason for concern, i for one am not doing much selling.

on the one hand i already have a prodigiuos tax burden to bear from my oil and gas stock trading this year and on the other i have not been able to buy back the stocks i have sold on the terms i wanted.

sure i could have sold PTEN, TMAR, KEG and others a couple of days ago and bought them back today, but its hell to try and get back in after you've sold. i've been trying to buy back into CAM for three months now.

these fund managers are lining themselves up for another crack; make no doubt about it. even SSB offers the caveat that a pullback should be bought. i've balanced my drillers and service stocks toward land and gas oriented activity and i am more than half in under-priced enps. i'm waiting for a nice pullback to pile what cash i have left into my favorites.

Gary, for enp' i think CHK and PGEI make interesting plays. APC has had earnings cuts and has lagged significantly. i would play wiith options. PN is sitting on a ton of gas and some coveted ground...worth the research. i think BNO has serious potential, and EVER has had water problems that have pushed back their production somewhat.

my 2 cents on that front.
