Unless, AMD can generate large profits on each process, it would be tough for it to finance fab upgrades at a ever faster speeds. Gaining market share is extremely important in this business to cover fixed costs. The name of the game is to maximize ASP*Units. Need those low-cost socket Athlons ASAP to go after the low-end/mid-range market .....
