A possible example of this in JNPR.

Hit a high of 234 before some big initial investors announced their intention to sell. After Sept. initial investors can unload their shares. They also announced a secondary offering (if i remember correctly).

So a flood of new shares will hit a thinly traded issue.
The result is a retracing to 184 right now.

Now, JNPR may absorb all this, but imagine if there were a future date where 80% of the owners were going to be able to trade their shares...
