frank ot ot ot ot

pick up in oil service...analysts saying it's happening now...there again they are the same analysts who in october of 97 gave buy signals for the sector, as rigs were moving out of the china sea...from my viewpoint, a real turnaround is a long way off...price of oil, much to the chagrin of the analysts, does not equate to increased exploration and drilling,if the capacity exists, then all that is required is to get production rigs back in service. why find more, when you have enough? just turn the valves to open on the christmas trees.....asean countries still in shambles.....not very encouraging

all this to say the above is the "reality", the movement upward of a touted stock by an analyst is the "perception".....

The oil service stocks began moving at the start of this year. I picked up HAL at 28 and change at that time and sold it in the forties not long ago. Many of these stocks have close to doubled off their lows...
