Lather.Rinse.Repeat.,: " a fact against evolution ". I need to be honest with you at this time, GG, ( surprise surprise ). I have NOT reviewed any evidence against evolution. Tell you why. After Med School biology I had enough of drosophila and wanted badly to get the hell out of the swamp and into the hospital to treat folks rather than drosophilae . Furthermore I realized that it was not up to me to prove that evolution did NOT exist ( very hard to prove a negative or non-existing item ) but that rather it was up to brother Darwin to prove to ME that evolution existed as a fact and not a Theory and they hadn't done that. So I did not bother. Instead I tried to look at other " theories" of creation and see if there were any better factual proofs. That search will be left for another thread, GG. However here is a list of references I provided my now 18 year old on the subject. I will let HIM review it,GG, ( very sharp kid ), and I will eventually report back to you, GG. Right now evolution is # 55 on my list of things to do and I am afraid I have to use my time more wisely, TA ------------ [All these books are available at Barnes and Noble Disclaimer: I own no Barnes and Noble stock, GG.] Darwin on Trial Phillip E. Johnson Synopsis In clear, concise chapters, Johnson offers a casual, reasoned and scientifically sound evaluation of the support for Darwinism--from fossil records to molecular biology. In a new afterword, he responds to his critics and their arguments. "Unquestionably the best critique of Darwinism I have ever read."--Michael Denton, author of Evolution: A Theory in Crisis. Darwin's Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution Michael J. Behe Synopsis Behe argues that the biochemical basis of complex life could not havedeveloped through gradual evolutionary change because too many dependent variables would have had to have been altered simultaneously. Through explanations of the functions of the eye, blood clotting, and the immune system, he sets out to argue against evolution as a sole explanation for their existence." (Libr J) Index. Evolution: A Theory in Crisis Michael Denton Synopsis "Following a brief historical analysis of the development of evolutionary theory, Denton draws on recent work in taxonomy, paleontology, and microbiology to argue that Darwin's views are no longer tenable. It is the evidence from microbiology and biochemistry, notably the studies of protein and amino acids sequences, that ultimately leads the author to reject evolution and claimthat each class of organism is isolated and unique."
