Like I've said, they are where AAPL was three years ago.

AAPL slashed their R&D staff and a whole slew of production folks in 1996. This gave them a base to rebuild from and heave the dead wood.

Also freed up some resources and cash to do some other stuff like buy out NeXT computing and bring aboard Steve Jobs.

This is a good move CPQ is slimming down to be more flexible.

You guys criticize CPQ for being porky, well here it's making itself more maneuverable.

In the words of Andrew "Dice" Clay when referring to Mary Lou Retton, "What the hell is dat? A pig on parallel bars!?"

Still waiting for a good entry point though..
