Also these comments taken form the YHOO thread seem reasonable. News from Investor Relations... by: teach68 16712 of 16719 I just got off the phone with Diana at Investor Relations. Here is the info 1. Zev was interested in the CEO of Optical Access, and has some health issues going on with his family. He prioritized and put his family first and would not have been able to focus on Optical Access. 2. MRV is definitely seeking an outside CEO for Optical Access. No internal candidates. 3. The search for the CEO and CFO of Optical Access only began this past Monday, and that is their major focus right now. 4. Regarding major partnerships... the focus is finding partnerships for additional funding of the startups. No word that there is partnering going to occur with the established units of MRV. 5. Zuma is the new startup. I asked why no press release and they said they wanted to get the booth up at the show and let the people who write the articles start to include the info in their articles in trade magazines, etc. The products of Zuma will take on Extreme Networks products and will be priced significantly less. 6. Zuma may not even be announced yet, even though they have a booth at the show. 7. I conveyed to Diana that we are all waiting for news regarding OA and how a possible IPO may be structured, etc. I guess they will have to get their CEO and CFO first?????
