no public education?
good. this would then mean things like home schooling( which some relatives of mine are using today, regardless of the pressures the state is trying to bear on them), in which parents are (by default) more involved in thier childrens' educations. also private schools, in which (to my own parocial upbringing shall attest) will usually teach more subjects in which the parents are interested/supportave than in state mandated courses. the private school teachers of my youth were paid less than the public school teachers of my highschool years, and had fewer students to take care of (around 30-35 vs (30 X 6 classes a day=)180 ea)
there was a much deeper relationship within the class of 30, and , tho i havent seen many of them in the past 10 yrs, the ones i have are all doing well. unlike the public school chums of mine, at least half are smoking dope and taking minimun responsibility jobs, with low pay and no prospects .

Hmm... yes i'd like to supersize it...
