Some third party thoughts on mass audience versus target..... Great article re CBS's Mel Karmazin interactive.wsj.com an excerpt: "Nor are big advertisers as gullible as they seem. New research is showing that reach is more important than frequency--you don't need to pummel people over and over. And often it can be cheaper to combine smaller audiences than aim for big ones." --------------- Seems like iNextv is structured for profitability...

Personally, I don't mind some real doubting Thomases posting their frustrations, if only to 'prevent myself from becoming too unrealistic euphoric about the money I MIGHT make on Ampex eventually. I do feel that some posters rationalize the declining price with a simplistic analysis, and overly Pollyannaistic (?) explanation about Mr. Bramson's "vision thing", although it appears to be at best, murky, shifting, and immeasurable at this juncture. Let us not forget. Ampex is fighting for it's survival...... As long as folks aren't fighting and being rude, I like to see all sides of an argument. Meanwhile, I'm still hoping for the best outcome. Not too euphoric or particularly scared right now by the low price. The next good news item will have everyone congratulating everybody again for their good fortune, and the whining will cease......But it hurts to see your assets eroding, even though it's only a paper loss. Al........
