I agree with you 100% on risk/reward being very much in favor of longer-term short postions. I said earlier today that it's very possible that we'll see an overnight drop tonight and very few will be along for the ride. Well, the market did give us some hints of its intentions heading into the close - wasn't it from you that I learned to watch what happens at 3:30? That said it all today. And we close right about where I see the uptrend (internal - since Oct 98) on the Dow. I've got to take another look, but I think that I eyeballed it just above 10,800 earlier.

Thanks for the data on the long-term trend - sobering stuff for those who will consider it.

LG, re. risk/reward ratio, obviously i fully agree. it seems now that the blow-off is either a)postponed or b) not going to happen at all, because it has already happened.
