I hope Cisco starts to use the new Intel Networking Chips - as they indicated they may.

The networking business may be different in a few years.

Bypassing PBX isn't new, but, "still require some fleshing out in software capabilities for quality-of-service features" isn't either.

Intel is probably well-positioned to understand telco quality, by way of Dialogic.

I bet the VoIP business will generate some decent chip sales for Intel.
