Nichols:

I really don't think Dancelot got spooked. He snookered himself into thinking he could turn a quick multi-thou with a sell. His mistake, if I can call it that, was to hang in from 197 to 156. Truth be told, I did the same, but I sold a little ahead of Lindy and got out in the 158's, and have not bought back in as yet.

Considering Lindy's intention (mentioned long before you joined) of doing more than a double each year, he's well ahead of his game. He's looking to do a multiple of that, and if clever, could do so with some adroit trading. So could we all. There are gorilla gamers here who use options, margins, and shorts. As I see it, trades are in the same category.

I am applauding him for having the guts and integrity to post his investment decisions in public view for every newby to criticize.

Gotta chime in here, Nichols. Hardly anyone is patting Bill on the back for what he did. We are patting him on the back for being open and honest. I won't pat him on the back for being 100% Q nor for selling at the fall (I sold, too). But everything he did (100% Q, selling, and, most of all, posting his moves) was gutsy, open and honest.

We may all question his investment strategy, and debate how it fits with Gorilla investing. That is a good discussion.

How many bears do you know that are so open, in real-time, as to what there intentions and actions are?

Nichols, I can imagine being a lurker on this thread for only a few weeks and seeing the last few days happen. The actions would be out of context, however, and the personalities would not be clear.
