Hi kash johal; You are quite right, the limit is around 256Mb on an ASIC chip. That is still quite a bit.

IBM's documents quote 128Mb, and this is a more reasonable amount to put on.

(I read off the chip size instead of the die size. My theory is that this error was caused by listening to "Electric Larry Land" several dozen times straight while designing at a work station. I have temporarily removed this CD from my listening pile.)

By the way, my synthesis license broke tonight, and since it is my experience that I have to fix these during regular hours, I am going to have to get up early tomorrow...
