In pregnancy, there is no active invasive surgical procedure to provide a "donation" to the baby. Pregnancy is a natural circumstance where the mother and father created a life that happens to incubate inside the womb.

Pregnancy is much more akin to a passive life support system than it is to an active surgical invasion. Think about it.

I don't believe it would hold up legally to use an analogy of a human body to a respirator, etc. Of course it would. Its entirely logical as well. Probably why you are having such difficulty with the concept. JLA
