Yes in hindsight we could all have got in cheaper. It will be very interesting to see how this Visteon deal plays out. Both the UAW and company appear ready to make a stand over this issue. I don't see how they could both raise the dividend and spin-off Visteon. It would be an effective increase if they spun off Visteon and kept the dividend the same. Seems like I read Visteon should be worth maybe $6 per Ford share. Hopefully with a peaceful resolution to Visteon and a signed contract the stock will rise again.
