Goldman Sachs lifts Q3, Q4 U.S. GDP forecasts

NEW YORK, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Continued strength in consumer spending and robust business fixed
investment has prompted Goldman Sachs & Co. to raise its forecasts for U.S. gross domestic product
(GDP) growth for both the third and fourth quarters.

Goldman's third-quarter GDP estimate was lifted to a 4.0 percent growth rate from 3.7 percent and
fourth-quarter GDP to a 4.4 percent pace from 4.2 percent.

The changes were highlighted in Thursday's daily financial market commentary, which was released late on
Wednesday.

Hi Vitas

I consider that a great compliment ..

were you talking about this one:

-------------------------------------------

"I figure that we should be about 75 SPX points lower than we are."
beta.siliconinvestor.com

-------------------------------------------

or this one:

-------------------------------------------

"Ya hear that sucking sound, boy?? Just like someone pulled the plug outta the bathtub... That's the liquidity goin' down that great drain to the netherworld.."
beta.siliconinvestor.com

-------------------------------------------

Or the one about the headfake?

I just figured that the market has been doing enough head fakes that it's better to assume that is going to be the case. Seems to work three times out of 4 lately.

Strong gaps try to get covered. The liquidity picture favored a move down.

FWIW
