I've been watching the news. I wonder if Floyd might have had a slight impact on the market. So many people are affected by the storm. If I had to evacuate my home today,I believe I would have taken some profits out of the market because the damage from the storm is suppose to be widespread. Most homeowner policies will not cover the damage, according to the news reports.

I didn't even bother to check stock positions for damage.

And you are depressed! I wouldn't be discouraged by the market over the short term.

The following information about AMAT was posted YESTERDAY, Tuesday, September 14!

Semiconductor companies also posted strong gains following a bullish forecast from an industry executive.

James C.Morgan, chairman and chief executive of Applied Materials, said semiconductor production worldwide is expected to more than double in the next few years as the Internet feeds heavy demand for computers.

The more reports that I read, the more I believe that Floyd may have a slight but negative impact on this market.

Today, I discovered that a thief has lifted the credit cards from five other students in my dance class over the past few weeks. I was the sixth person to tell her that a thief got my card. Probably, there will only be 20 or 30 students in the class.

This is quite a coincidence. I suspect that there is a major credit-card ring of thieves that operate in Seattle.

The class hasn't started so I hadn't phoned in the new number. I don't know the names of the other students. And I haven't taken dance classes since early summer!
