I agree the left over legislates, which is why my parents were the only republicans in California in 1975 (it seemed like). But since 1992 the republicans lost their "small govt" platform in favor of a values agenda... this was like sleeping with the devil, because the far right are the most extreme when it comes to social legislation... you should read some of their wacky theories. I think they've gone too far now with this creationism in Kansas and stuff... well, we'll have to see.
