Anyone who sells here claiming they are longterm is not an investor but a timer or a trader. There are better things to trade than AOL. For trading, elements such as RSI, moving avgs, sector strength, etc should all come into play.

I remember there are always periods when Wall Street truly screws up and there's excessive bullish or bearish sentiment w/ regard to a certain stock. AOL at 170-soemthing didn't make sense for an investment. Back in Jan 1996, right after Christmas, COMS and all the networkers caught fire like the Nets did this year. By February, CSCO and COMS, NN, ASND, CSCC and some smaller networkers were caught in an ugly downdraft. CSCO has been in some downdrafts and where do we stand today ? For AOL, this is no different.

AOL is a proxy for the Net much like CSCO is for netoworking, INTC is for semis. What good does it do to anyone to watch the day to day fluctuation in AOL stock if one is not trading it. I know i'll be called crazy for emphasizing this, but AOL is an investment...period.

Time traveler, guess again....If you know my story about my assets going from $120,000 to under $20,000 currently, then you'd realize I'm fed up with panic selling...I didn't lose money on crappy stocks, I lost it on stocks by the names of Microsoft, Dell, Compaq, etc...simply because I was one of the "weak hands" the MMs love to put a strangle on...No I don't plan to sell til AOL hits $500 a share...I've said it before on this thread...if it means never, then I never sell, but I am determined to make back the money the MMs got from me, I figure AOL is as good a company as there currently is out there to invest in...the net is the future...the stock price is unjustifiably being manipulated, since we all know AOL's fundamentals haven't changed...as for posting here so often...I take care of my dad who has Alzheimer's so I'm at home 24hrs a day 7 days a week...been like that for about 2 yrs now...when I finally get my life back I won't post as often, but looking on the bright side, I won't be worried about the price of the stock either...Peace and good luck to you.
